In this DIY project, Anco shows how he made beautiful large speakers himself. He ordered the custom sawn work (MDF) online so that he could start his project immediately. Read more about his experience below.

Description of Anco

I made large (the bigger the box, the better the bass) speakers, which I had been planning to do for a long time. /p>

How I made this project

It starts with a drawing and then calculating the dimensions of the panels. Ordered everything from this handy online sawmill. It was delivered quickly and the dimensions were correct down to the millimeter. Then holes were sawn for the speakers and I started using wood glue, clamps and tension straps. There are 8 cabinets in total, so quite a lot of work. Since the fit was very good, I didn't have to do much sanding. Rounding the edges was a lot of work. Then I primed and varnished the cabinets. Finally, I added some damping material and screwed in the speakers. Changeover filter made and connected. Super sound quality. In the store something like this costs many times that.

Dimensions of my DIY project

145.0 x 31.0 x 41.0 cm
