Wall for TV and speakers, by Merijn

Description

I have made a small wall into which the TV fits very nicely, making the TV appear to lie on the wall like a painting (the 'butt' of the TV with the electronics is in the wall). The TV is attached to a wall bracket, so I can easily move the TV forward and insert it into the wall to make adjustments. 

In addition, built-in speakers are mounted. Because the MDF panels could be sawn to a super nice miter by TOSIZE.se, the result (I think) became very sleek.

DIY: wall for TV and speakers

First I worked with pine beams made a frame to attach the MDF plates including two beams for the mounting of the TV bracket.

After this I attached the MDF plates with screws.

Cut a recess for the back of the TV.

Sanding + paint the same color as the walls. Primer was not necessary because I had ordered the MDF including primer.

Plinths glued with mounting kit.

Holes sawn for the speakers
