Ikea storage furniture for kids with Spruce carpentry panel, by Sanne

In this DIY project, Sanne shows how she pimped standard Ikea cabinets with a custom-sawn pine carpentry panel. She has easily created a very nice contemporary storage unit for her children. Read more about her approach and experience below.

Description of Sanne

Bought at the Ikea cupboards for the kids' toys. And then a beautiful pine plank on top, nicely rounded on the side so that kids don't have sharp edges.

How I made this project

I went to Ikea and took cabinets with me. the car and then drove home again. There I put the cabinets together and placed them on the wall. I then started looking on the internet for a plank of almost 2.80m. That's when I ended up at this website. I first looked at the different types of wood. But eventually I ended up with pine wood. And after completing everything, I ordered the shelf.
