Description by Jacco

I made a built-in cupboard against a wall using pine carpentry panels. The door is integrated into it.

How I made this project

I made a built-in cupboard for a dike house from 1900 with pine carpentry panels from TOSIZE.se.

I ordered uprights made of 40 mm pine carpentry panels. The shelves are made of 18 mm pine carpentry panel. Everything is primed and varnished twice in the color 85% Sisal, with the varnish Easy Mooi Furniture from Flexa. The beams are attached with dowel connections. I used steel angle irons in invisible places to secure the base frame and attach it to the wall. The fixed parts are 30 cm deep (except next to the door; 32 cm there), the loose planks are rounded at the front (2x6 mm) and are 28 cm deep.

The dimensions of the door frame were decisive, in addition to the size of the TV that had to be installed in it. The whole is finished with MDF decorative skirting boards from Karwei, top and bottom. I mounted the bead parts against the back wall (Stora Enso bead scrap 9x83x2700 mm from Gamma). The shelves in the large compartments are 98 cm wide. The narrow shelves on the left are 38 cm, on the right 48 cm. Total height of the cabinet is 237 cm. Total width is 416 cm. I want to finish the top later, so that it really becomes a 'built-in' cabinet.

Dimensions of my DIY project

416.0 x 237.0 cm
