Description
We made a sideboard for the living room in our new house. It's made of OSB with double layers of boards to give it a robust look. The wood was sanded and varnished after assembling the cabinet. The sideboard was made to a size that allows four IKEA Kallax units to fit inside, which we still need to paint and varnish in beautiful colors.
Making an OSB Sideboard
First, I made a small sketch on paper to get an idea of how the whole thing would look. Then, I calculated the measurements for all the planks and ordered them from TOSIZE.se. I picked up screws, glue, varnish, and sandpaper at the hardware store. Once everything was in the house, my girlfriend and I spent Saturday attaching all the planks according to my design. We made sure that all screws were hidden by countersinking them and placing them in invisible spots.
Final Dimensions: What are the outer measurements?
The width of the cabinet is 260.0 cm, the height of the cabinet is 78.0 cm, and the depth of the cabinet is 38.0 cm.
