Custom-made birch multiplex bookcase, by Pascal

Replacing 2 bookcases on the market, we wanted a single bookcase that was more airy and colorful. We also wanted to use birch multiplex for its beautiful appearance.

The first step was to create a 3-dimensional model using Sketchup software. This step allowed us to create the flow sheet for ordering wood. The assembly was done solely using glue and 8mm dowel pins which were positioned using a drilling template to ensure perfect alignment. No screws were used. Once assembled, the piece of furniture was varnished to bring out the grain of the wood and the doors colored.
