In this DIY project, Hugo shows how he used TOSIZE Furniture to design a custom bookcase himself. In this way he was able to create a beautiful and perfectly fitting custom wall cupboard for a niche. By choosing the material MDF, the furniture can be painted perfectly in the desired color. Read more about his approach below.
Description of Hugo
Built-in bookcase for the living room. In an empty corner of the room we made a built-in wardrobe from the floor to the ceiling. We opted for a combination of open and closed compartments and a playful layout.
How I made this project
We first carefully measured where the cupboard should be placed. Space had to be left on the right for the curtain, while on the left we wanted to maintain approximately the depth of the cove in the wall. We made optimal use of the space by making the cabinet cover the entire space from floor to ceiling. After we had assembled and ordered the cabinet in the online tool, we received a simple construction kit. All parts were conveniently labeled, so after we had sorted all the parts properly, the cabinet was assembled in no time. We then primed the cabinet and painted it in a color of your choice. We are very satisfied with the result.
